Many of you know that I enjoy cooking. While I experimented with this particular recipe occasionally before motherhood, the results are much richer now. You can make this recipe anytime, with the ingredients you have on hand. The more frazzled or sleep-deprived or distracted you are, the better the results!
Not a mom? Not a problem! Just use a water bottle.
Note: Highly organized women may not find this soup that interesting.
Ingredients:
- 1 large purse
- 1 leaky sippy cup, filled with child’s favorite beverage of choice (note: set aside until instructed)
- 1 set of keys
- Several receipts (for either expense reports or things you need to return)
- Several broken crayons
- Wallet (the fatter with crapola, the better)
- 1 cellphone
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 semi-open container or bag with finger food of choice (Cheerios, Teddy Grahams, etc.)
- 1 notepad, preferably filled with important to-do lists and things you need to remember
- Several coupons for awesome deals on things you really want or need
- 1 dead pen
- 1 or more tubes of lipstick
- 1 plastic Happy Meal toy
- Hair bands
- 1 hair clip
- Several decrepit napkins from Dunkin Donuts
- 1 emery board
- 1 pack of gum
- 1 straw
- 1 plastic spoon
- 1 travel pack of Advil
- 1 pair of adult sunglasses
- 1 pair of child sunglasses
- 1 portable phone charger
- 1 rubber band
- 1 garage door opener
Instructions:
1) Combine all ingredients – except for the sippy cup – in your purse
2) Take full sippy cup and insert it into purse either horizontally or upside down
3) Jostle for 45 minutes (15 minutes minimum) while walking, talking, driving, or pushing a stroller
4) Open purse
5) Enjoy
